Welcome Dusty and all the other noobs to the forum.
I've been neglecting my duties while on holiday here in NZ

Wished I'd brought the Falco with me though, all this sun and dry roads is getting me down

Worry not, mangocrazy. My bike is an imort.....from England! I bought it in Southport, with 4.8k miles. I was browsing this site last night and I saw the thread about your new bike. What a find!
D-Rider, thanks for the seat retainer info. That's exactly what I want!
I haven't ridden the bike since I got her home, but hopefully when I finish my DIY jobs this afternoon (to rack up some credit points from my wife), the rain will have stopped.
EdinburghFalco, I'll watch for you on the A720 on my way to work, although I'll probably spare the Falco from commuting duties.

Dusty thankfully I work from home and so spare the Beast the lunacy that is the Edinburgh bypass at rush hour! If you ever fancy a run out give me a poke and I'll see if the wife will let me out to play.

Cheers Dusty - funnily enough, I think your bike was one of the ones on my shortlist, but I never got round to viewing it. Funny old world, isn't it?
Anyway - enjoy. They're a cracking bike and you have, definitively, got the best looking colour scheme of all the Falcos made. Ignore all protestations to the contrary...

Thanks again to all, for the warm welcome. I got out today for a quick 50 mile acclimatisation. Wow; the joys of V twins! What a cracking bike. The roads were wet and greasy so it was a fairly subdued ride but I'm still grinning despite cold hands.I've become soft thanks to my Triumph's heated grips. The mods have started already; I got a VTR stand and switch on ebay tonight. Can't wait for a dry, preferably warm day.

so.
it is official
the sweaty's are colour blind... BLACK IS FASTER
enjoy the bike - i occasionally look for another bike - but have yet to find anything as good as the falco
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Welcome Dusty.
Nice to see the Scottish numbers swelling a little more.
Scottish Falco meet? Now there's a good idea.
And we're not all colour blind. Black is fastest.

It would be great to get the Falco crowd together for the Glasgow Easter Egg run next year, imagine the noise! Oh yeah and those unlucky enough to live South of Hadrian's wall could join us for a run out on the Saturday ?????

No sorry, you'd never get it through the "
Risk Assessment" process.
All that possible ear damage to those poor kids!
Nice idea though

A Scottish Springfest could be a plan.
I did the Kyle of Lochalsh/Glencoe/Rannoch Moor last year in glorious sunshine (honest) . Outstanding - one of those rides you don't forget.
And, just to dispel any lingering doubts - black is fastest.

With all of this interest in a Scottish outing, we might even manage to outnumber Thelongwaydownroundandabout Club that seem to be omnipresent whenever I go north for a day's ride. That's what I like about the Falco (and my RS); it's not only unusual by not being a GS but it's also a rare beast in its own right!
