They are restricted by different amounts according to the different markets they are sold into - there are two different bungs which have different sized holes in them.

The parts book lists them as:
  • B-Aus-USA .... part no 8134493
    I-A-CH-D-DK-GR-F-UK-J-NL-P .... part no 8134399
The spec sheet lists them as 118 BHP - I believe this is unrestricted.

The USA guys say theirs is restricted to about 80BHP or something

Given that we (UK) have the same bung as the French and they have a 100BHP limit, I'd expect that our restricted bikes are probably something like 100 BHP .... though this is just a guess based on my reasoning here.

That is the over-riding concern for them, apparently. He's had to go through this with a couple of vehicles (not motorcycles, admittedly) and that was what the authorities were focussing on.

But provided the paperwork is in order, the French don't really give a flying f**k. Paperwork is their big thing. They'll check the lights and speedo, for sure, but check the airbox for the correct sized bung? I don't think so. That would involve taking the tank off and would be far too much effort...
Mango - that's not a bad idea - show up at 11:30, knowing that ALL French dissappear at 12 for 2 hours. 2:00 they return after a couple of vino's and half hours kip. I have the correct headlight and speedo's no problem. Just put my standard cans back on......

The answer is to refit the intake restricter and reconnect the ecu restrictor wire but you could disconnect one of the cylinders....... :smt005 or buy pegaso :smt015
