...have also ogled rsvr1000 ones at rsvr.net - think they might be the same and you're not kidding about the cost. 25 squid a piece! :smt019 As I'm as mechanical/electrical as a slice of burnt toast it may be the way to go for me - at least the finish etc on them should be worth the dough, right?

actually, no, I think you will be able to find a few options that are bulb based

suggest that you do a long search at motrax's website - and other similar sites

My first set of aftermarket indicators came from german ebay - amber bulbs, clear lenses and cost about 25 quid including postage for all four - fausto has them now (If the lazy toad has fitted them.... like his white spring shock....!)

Also, for inspiration look at the aprilia gallery here, and perhaps more importantly at http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/show ... hp?t=99893 - lots of ideas there

finally, do not be afraid of the electrics - I was, and still am a novice, but have found many people to help along the way - ie, ask and you shall receive!

I did a bit of research into this when I was doing my LED stuff to see what I could get away with.

As long as indicators are orange/amber when illuminated, have no broken lenses, flash between 120 and 60 times a minute, are either side of the running lights and can be seen while looking directly at the bike (front ones from the front, rear ones from the rear obviously) they will pass an MoT. If you have no indicator switch on the bars you need no indicators, if you have a switch you must have indicators.

They used to need to be 240mm or more apart, but I don't think that's applied since they changed the regs last year or whenever it was.

Well this lazy toad has indeed fitted those indies - thanks Pete - but you are quite correct to assume that not a lot has happened re the shock.
