mmm the Oasis Green ones .....

Look at your hand .... just one of them .... count your fingers .... you've just counted more than the total number of the green ones ever made.

I've seen one in the "flesh" at Malory Park and seen the picture Hornetrider posted up of his on the forum:

Hornetrider's bike

Here's a link to see the various Falco colour schemes ... not all were imported here .... although some for other markets did make it here

http://www.twowheelparts.nl/home/defaul ... 00&lang=nl

The story I heard for the green ones is that Aprilia had planned that colour and prepared a handful for a show in UK. They then dropped the colour but the bikes remained here. The rarest official colour of all .... lovely .... but I'd hate to have to source replacement plastics ....

Its certainly cool having a rare one. Must admit all my mates love it as well! I will get some better pics up soon cos those blurry ones don't do the paint scheme any justice, plus it'll be sporting a bit more bling :smt001

Here's one from the original ad

Well I picked the wheels up and they are bloody mint! There is one teeny tiny mark on the rear wheel which is barely noticeable, I am WELL chuffed!

The Corsa 3's on them are shot through so I'm going to try out some Road Attacks - got a quote for 155 fitted which I think is pretty good.

The only downer is I'm off to Le Mans in a fortnight and don't want to do several hundred motorway/peage miles on new rubber, so will be leaving my stock wheels on and using the remains of the 020's for that journey.

Will stick pics up when I fit them :smt001

I fitted them to the bike this weekend, again dodgy cameraphone pics, but you get the idea! :smt007

First off I think the colour of them does loads for the bike. Not only ARE the wheels lighter, they LOOK lighter as well!

I weighed them before I put them on, the difference is huge - standard weights with tyres are 16kg/12kg and these are 12kg/8kg - 4kg's per wheel weight saving. And man does it show on the bike! Feels quicker to accelerate, decelerate, change direction, such a difference. I wasn't sure if I'd notice but its such a transformation!

Highly recommended!

They look the dogs, like you say they even look light, more so in silver than in blue.

That's an after market seat too, looks a bit better padded than the O/E item. Not that the original isn't comfy, but that one should give you a few more mile between numb bums.

Well, just bought a pair of OZ's too (yes, the real McCoy) but in the standard blue. I was considering a powdercoat in silver and seeing the pics of HR's has convinced me it's a much tastier colour. Might wait until the end of the 'season' tho' :smt045

Good work! What colour is your bike?

I do like them in blue but I've gotta say some of the newer Aprilias look a bit ker-azy with random blue wheels on different colour bikes. I think they should supply them in a few colours to suit different colour schemes.

Well, they arrived yesterday and, in the flesh (metal?) I kind of like the blue. The bike is black so I think it might work. Reckon I'll get them fitted and run with them for a while before I decide what to do - I still rate them in silver though :smt007 Every now and again, life throws some really tough calls at you :smt112

I've benen telling folk for ages now that silver wheels look cool, especially with a silver frame.

Can't find a picture but there's one on here somewhere.
