Not sure I'd do the sprag unless I had to but Pierre wrote this up on the old forum (there's a secret store of wealth squirrelled away over there)

My spanner man was the chap who suggested it to me - he was of the opinion that the only weak link on the falco/mille engine was the sprag - and when i bought my falco off him, he would not sell it to me with it's 17500 miles done untill he had changed the sprag....
I know nothing now, and knew less then - but... I trust him so threw it out as a view - and for how much a sprag replacement would cost, perhaps it is worthwhile doing at the same time especially if that could have been a contributing factor:)
