Another update - disks and pads are installed and ready for a test ride.

Didn't take all that long - maybe 2 hours at the absolute most. Getting the old rotors off was less painful than I anticipated. Certainly easier than when I replaced the original rotors about 10 years ago...

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Nice; shame they dont state weight or minimum allowed thickness - good colour choice.

They are substantially thicker than the stock ones. I didn't notice any weight difference, but then I wasn't looking for it.

I think the minimum allowed thickness was 4.5mm, although I'll have to check before I can confirm that.

I got the ones with the black centres. I figured gold would look a bit out of place.

UPDATE: Yep, minimum thickness is 4.5mm.

After a quick trip to see how they react, I'm impressed. Great bite, excellent feel, and that's in about 10 miles of about-the-town riding. Can't wait to see how they are when properly bedded in.

They look pretty damn good. I bet shipping costs to the UK would be prohibitive though...

Why not drop them a line and ask? AUD$600 is about GBP300, so probably within the realms of reasonable.

I'll bear them in mind - at present my discs are within spec so no immediate need. Thanks for the spammer heads-up. The ban hammer has been deployed. Again.
