Very nice - something of a return to form for the VFR after the Transformers-stylie VTEC and the plain fugly 1200. In 1989 I was living in Stafford and got offered a contract in Solihull - a 45 mile each way hack through some of the most congested roads in the UK. The VFR was purchased with the express intent of being a 2 wheeled Ford Mondeo, shunting me up and down the M6/M42, which it did with aplomb.
I put 80,000 trouble-free miles on that bike in 6 years. It's probably the most reliable mechanical object I've ever owned. Hopefully your outcome will be the same...

Sold for the grand price of £1250. Only had 2500 views so I reckon some of you guys must have been busy
The buyer is collecting tomorrow. Will offer them the option of the Bagster tank cover (black) but, if they don't want it, will offer it here for £50 if anyone is interested?

Good to hear the Falc was rehomed quickly !
Not a too shabby price for ' some attention needed'.
Got your ass in the VFR saddle yet ?
Cleverly disguised as an adult !

Oh yes :)
Arse firmly esconsed. 700 miles or so done, suspension tweaked to suit and tank range discovered. New screen and givi rack on order so you'll be pleased to hear my credit card is still in use...

Nice one.
What is the tank size/range? My 750 had a 20 litre tank, which (riding like a granny) could just about cover 200 miles, including reserve.

Well, deciding that 6 junctions of M25 filtering wasn't stupid enough, I also tested the bike to see how far I could get on one tank.
So, 30 miles of major shit traffic, followed by a sedate 85mph motorway trip saw the reserve light come on at 193 miles :)
Filled up at 199.9 miles (nearly went round the pumps a few times to make it 200!) and got just over 18 litres in the 21.5 litre tank so easily had another 20 miles left (reserve is meant to be 30 miles)

That's very good. Sensible tank range and size. Sounds perfect for your requirements. Pretty handy MPG as well.

Ok, the Falco is gone
The guy didn't want the Bagster so first call if anyone wants it for £50?
Will stick it in the Classified section just to be all proper like

I got rid of mine years ago, its cheaper to arrange a loan from the bank and easier.

Yeah, but nobody ever tells you that a loan will do nicely though...
