that article is certainly doing the rounds.. it seems to show up in every discussion of juddering brakes.
There are a number of options to explore..

I have heard of ultra-hard deposits left on disc surfaces as a function of the high temperatures.
Apparently, nothing will remove this short of sanding the disc with very fine grade (1000+) wet and dry paper.
Oddly, I cleaned some discs recently and still wasn't happy with the results either so did (carefully) the above...
Time Will Tell.
Erm, yes - to digress, these Monsters are going on my Ducati for the meantime but I'm sure will end up on my Falco as they are fully compatible

We've been posting it on here for many years now - glad to hear other places are catching up

Interesting non-radial mounting of "radial" callipers

Will they work on other motorways?

Mmmmmmmm - I like them very much.... The important question is, where did you get the caliper brackets from and how much are they?

Meanwhile, back on topic
The pads are fine. All 8 pistons were pushed back with finger pressure. I gave the calipers a clean up. The issue is no better so I'll assume the problem is as described in the article. I'm not sure I can go to all the trouble of sanding discs!

I usually give the brake a big squeeze every now and then. Always sorted it so far. PS don't try this advice in the wet, on diesel or without sensitivity....

Ok
Are all the bolts securing the disc correctly torqued up?
Suggest using a front paddock stand and checking the disks are true
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

The only thing I haven't been able to check is the disc runout as I don't have a front lift.
Sanding the discs by hand with various pieces of sand paper / wet and dry / thing that looks like a brillo pad but heavier duty hasn't made any different. I'm wondering if it would be worth getting the discs off and getting a sanding disc on my drill... (as well as checking the runout when I get a lift)

I finally got my front abba stand and sanded 7 hells out of the discs with my drill. Put everything back together and it feels exactly the same
Does anyone local to me have a dial guage?
The next MOT is next January so I will see whether or not it passes as is as I can live with the vibes. I will save up for discs. I need to spend some money on my forks...

Do your discs (rotors) show any signs of overheating ?
If so this can alter the properties of said disc and affect the pads ability to grip, likewise are the pads glazed ?
Maybe try a different pad compound ?

There are no signs of over heating - no visible signs of any issues at all.
The purpose of sanding them was to remove any glazing and/or pad material deposits and start again with a fresh surface.
Maybe the previous owner warped them with a disc lock

I had this problem, brake cleaner didn't work, bolt & nut through hole connected to cordless drill, two tins of cleaner, made no difference.
I removed the rotors, and popped the "clips" on the inside of the bobbin (they were facing the disc's) so they faced out this made them float and the problem went away.
I am sure I read "how to" on this forum.

Thanks.
Edit: so somehow the clips have popped themselves the wrong way over time and use?
