Pete Dean Having thought about it.... Frame, right hand switch gear, front mud guard, front forks, most of the engine and the fairing are standard falco.... Everything else has been changed, modded or fettled.....

As well as a black bike, I also have black pubes..... Though I do believe that Grecian 2000 are sponsoring your valiant reversal attempts....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

being attacked by winter salt and general corrosion and the application of the odd NHS sticker doesn't normally count as modification .....

You can only claim them as yours since Hanna agreed to become engaged to you

Not a suitable area for discussion - save to say that I am not one to spend money on products for which I have no need

Hence why you are to be applauded for securing sponsorship

And especially after the mid staffs enquiry I am rather pleased to say I do not work in the NHS - I would sack the lot of them

Hi Browny and welcome - many will agree that the sidestand should be your next priority but then take your time time to get to know the bike. 15t front sprocket is a good cheap mod too and very worth while in my opinion. We are all different sizes (especially on this forum :smt002 ) and what works for one may not work for another (bars above the top yoke for sparks furious debate). So look forward to spring and enjoy the bike for while and save up some money.

Not so much a mod as a good investment, get yourself an optomiser, either optimate or an Oxford one will do and keep your bike on it (assuming garage and power) at all times, this will save you the worry of the bike starting badly.
I got a a new Motbat battery at the end of last year and I keep this on charge at all times.
I have never had a problem starting it.

Hi all,

Welcome browny :smt002 The 15t front conversion, facilitates the reduction of lumpyness around town. Or, below 3000 revs, the engine is more manageable amigo :smt003

15t sprocket makes slow speed manoeuvrability a lot easier and will sharpen up the acceleration a bit too.
No real impact on top speed as it's a bit over-geared in top anyway ..... and let's be honest, you can't be hitting speeds of around 160 on our roads with our laws and our crappy drivers on that many days of the week anyway.

Will fitting a 15t front sprocket be suitable using the standard length chain already fitted

Yes - it requires one less link than a 16t but that's within range of adjustment so standard chain is fine

Could you guys please keep this Falco chat for the Falco section? :smt001 It's bad enough wishing I'd never sold mine without you lot banging on about the bike in the general chat section. :smt010
