Hi all,
My TwoBrothers are quite fruity and somewhat loud

Is it easy to do a video on my iphone and post a small video on somewhere?
Just as proof

My warranty is the clear/smoked tail lights around the corner!!

I got a pair of Motad Venoms on ebay for £160 through Motads own outlet store. I am very impressed with them. Look good,(stainless steel oval with carbon fibre look at the end) and sound great even with the baffles in. Seem to have sorted out the low speed lumpiness of the stock cans. Motads customer service good too, they sent out a replacement link pipe straight away as the first 2 were both for the left sided pipe.

Speaking about end cans, the Falco uses slipon not bolt on can right?
What's the diameter of the part of the can that slips over the link pipe?

Just as well you've not mentioned your TwoSisters. I hear those lassies from the north-east can also be a bit frisky on a Friday or Saturday night ............

Presumably with end cans it's just about preference and they don't make any difference to power or delivery (when used with stock headers).
In which case surely it's best to go with the lightest ones that you enjoy the look/sound of.

actually carl, slip ons do make a difference
the blue flames and similar will give more power than some of the cheaper slip ons
some companies do buck the trend - Fuel cans are a good comprimise of performance and price for instance
generally you do get what you pay for
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Fair enough. I don't know about the Falco, but that's not my experience with Japanese inline fours.
Typically with standard headers, a aftermarket cans were similar. A scorpion can would make little difference to something akrapovic can. A change in headers produced much bigger gains.
Most after-market cans are the same size, same materials (varying quality), and straight through, so there is little to differentiate them.

nod
I know what you mean carl, but start with the standard falco cans - three seperate chambers, so anything else is an improvement
the fuel cans are a very good balance - I reckon they give around 3 bhp over stock - I am going from memory btw - the blue flames I later acquired gave 5 or 6 - the six being with the minimal baffle in, the 5 being with no baffle in - back pressure really does count!
I have never owned akras....
I have ridden with a set of Beowulfs - my arse dyno reckoned they were around the same as the fuel cans....
Hanna's carbon can company slip ons are somewhere between the fuel and blue flames
oh - finally, the renegades are the best I have ever had - both the renegade slip ons I had that were falco specific and now my mille system.... ask the hobbit - I think he would agree!

The biggest gains on a V-twin are made on induction and exhaust, all other things being equal. Getting plenty of air in to feed those big slugs and then getting rid of it quickly are key to power gains on a V-twin.

a 2 inch hole is a 2 inch hole doesent matter who makes it a pair of open race cans from manufactuer a will be the same as a pair from manufactuer b if the length and bore are the same the quality of build could be miles apart tho

Naah. Depends on the innards as well. One manufacturer's perforated tubing and packing materiel and method is not necessarily the same as another and it can have an effect on things too.. other wise an Akrapovic end can would give the same gains as god forbid, a cheap ebay special. They may be getting there but not the same

Damn right
I have cored an aprilia race can and rebuilt blue flame, fuel and renegade cans - BIG differences inside
