1. Check alignment of rear wheel. When they run it, a strip will form on the Tyre. this will give you an indication of whether the bike back wheel is in alignment or not. By rights they should mention it and check it. It is pretty important.

Once theyve done that, they'll do a run. from the results of that they can then see whether the bike is running lean, rich, when, where the flatspots are, etc etc etc and advise from there. each bike is different and will need different things doing to it. it may be that it doesnt need anything doing to it. What you want out of the time will l;argely affect what is done. if you want it to run smooth low down, they'll adjust to suit, run full power up the top end.. adjust as they can, for that..

There is no definitive list to be honest. Get the run, decide what you want them to do, let them get on with it.

And dont confuse 'dyno time' with setting up. Dyno time is just that usually, run after run on the dyno. they print results, you then go away bluffing that the bike has 20 bhp more and they forgot to turn the fans on, etc, etc
Dyno with set up is where they get spanners out, it costs more too, naturally

Thats interesting. I could book my bike in for an hour and they will do the run after run till the hour is up.
I want to get it dynoed in standard trim then with the cans on then with cans and chip then with cans chip and airbox.

I might just have enougth time :smt012 :smt002

I would like these figures (especially standard trim) to work on as a base start

Best to tell them what you want to do and get a quote; different places will charge in different ways.
