New shock to buy!

Get mine up with a paddock stand and then do this;

The steel square section goes through one of the triangle cutouts on the subframe bracket and rests on a rung on the car ramps at either side.
Very stable and Ive used this method a couple o three times now, (swinger swap and then the new shock and then lengthening new shock ).
Notice the chocks under the front wheel; Nailed-down just in case!

Thanks again for the (dodgy) white spring shok FS.
Had it fitted this morning and set up.
Can't believe the difference.

I also put a white spring straight on and was well pleased, bought on ebay for zilch (£38), looked perfect, (must never have been out in the rain), which matched the low miles description. Ground off schrader, with some hassle, but works great for a tenth of the cost of an Ohlins.
P.S. Firestarter, my mate has a Nitron on his CBR6 and is very well pleased with it.

I bet you don't let the kids in the garage while it's up like that!

Does look stable though, might have a go like that. Can't string it up from the roof (artex ceiling in the garage ), so it's going to have to be floor-supported.

Same with me, ain't cheap but excellent piece of kit.

Would like to, but can't justify the cost atm. Does look a good setup though.
