Pleased to meet you..

Presenting my '00 Falco with 28000 km (17 k miles) on it, bought this May.

We've already been to the beach together - if you squint real hard I bet you can see Britain in the distance! :smt002

Falco status: Imported to Denmark from Poland. Seems to have suffered a RH side slide in it's past, slight scuff marks on case, and a few dings on rear cowl. The mirror rattles slightly in it's housing - fix? Have added the charging wire mod, now getting >14V on battery. Side stand I believe is stock, but angle doesn't seem too bad to me.
Plan to: Sevice/clean clutch slave, replace brake fluid, fork oil, side stand with VFR or Blackbird item.
Hope to find used upgrade shock - this one is advertised as '05 RSVR, is seller right? (means no good).

WTB pillion seat...

Hello again ... I've just welcomed you in the bar :smt003

The shock you mention is probably not the one to go for. In the past everyone has said they don't work on the Falco but I have seen more recent suggestions that it might.

That said, I'd stick on the safe side and get one from a Gen1 Mille or Tuono with the linkages from the same bike.

I guess you have had to pay Denmark's incredibly high tax on the bike :smt009

Well either you have a full and incredibly neat garage or your bike has invited friends round for tea :smt002
Welcome and what the old fella (drider) said about the shock he's right you know :smt003

As badger pubes said - probably best to leave it alone

(are there badgers in Denmark?)

Have a look around here for pointers and there is a list on af1 of what fits and what is needed

I suspect German eBay may be a good place to start....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Thanks everyone..

The Blair comment I've actually heard once before! :) but the £10 reference I don't get..

The full and incredibly neat garage is sadly not mine, but belongs to the guy I bought the Falco from. He had traded several pallets of bike equipment and spare parts for nine bikes. Most of them '70-'80ies items that he went about restoring before selling off. Including two XJ Turbos! Talk about a mad idea..

No usable shocks on ebay.de atm.

Yes badgers in Denmark. And high tax on motor vehicles. That said, I'm actually quite pleased with the valuation I got on this one - compared to what my money could have gotten me, it's a small bargain.
