Good petrol economy

#1 Post by Aladinsaneuk » Fri May 25, 2012 2:00 pm

Am on the way to Shropshire and got 150 miles before the fuel light came on

I was not hanging around either - some private road stretches showed a vmax of 120

BUT - my battery is shagged.... So jay is bringing me a new one.... The old one was a standard yuasa and has lasted 3 years

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

So you've avoided the RAC lorry so far ?!
(though that does improve your mpg further)

Is there a forfeit vehicle tailing you, for if you brake down, like in the Top Gear specials? Pink Honda Melody perhaps, with 'that' hat in the shopping basket?

Turning it into a hybrid isn't going to be cost effective if you have to change the battery every time you ride it.
