falco to tuono top yokeand bar conversion

#1 Post by Blackranger68 » Fri Mar 16, 2012 2:33 pm

Hi everyone.

Got a question on converting top yoke of falco to an 02-05 tuonotop yoke . Ok story so far. Just bought a tuono top yoke and risers to fit 53mm fork tubes on falco. Need to know will i have to change the throttle cables once i have the tuono bars / rental fat bars fitted? I reckon brake hoses need changed for sure but not sure what else might need modified. Any suggestions much appreciated. :smt017

Throttle cables are not an issue...
But you are correct about your brake lines they need longer ones fitting :smt001
Oh yes unless you want the ridersite klu klux clan after you i would advise cutting one of these down http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aprilia-SL100 ... 5d327da486
And not the origional.
Your handle bars will foul the fairing in origional form. I hope this helps :smt003

Thanks blinkey501.

Thats good to know that I wont need to get some new throttle cables. i was going to replace the standard front brake lines anyway with some nice shiny stainless steel ones.

had thought on the fairing catching, but considered buying a tuono or front nose cone and front light.

i have went down the same road with tuono yokes and bars. as said you dont need to change them, but personally i did because i wasnt happy with the extra stretch as such. i fitted tuono ones which are slighty longer. saying that i also fitted ridiculously wide renthals at the start which probably didnt help. had to cut them down because they were too much. your replacing the brake lines but dont forget about the clutch also although i think it should be ok.
