It had one before I did all that .... I'm not going to start lifting cam covers on a grimy bike!

I've now done a few more miles since fitting the modified exhaust mid section that allows a 2:1 exhaust to be fitted while retaining the Falco oil filter and cooler - and has the balance pipes on there to boot.

I would give it a definite thumbs up. The Mille oil tank never looked quite right - returning to the Falco tank is a good aesthetic improvement.
My Falco always seemed better sorted than many at low rpm but this mod has made a great improvement in that area. Slow speed corners and wet roundabouts are now almost a joy (I say almost - I'll never be a great fan of wet roundabouts).
The power characteristics have changed a bit - not sure if it's a bit more a bit less or about the same - but I think more linear.
The one exception is that I now seem to have a bit of a dip around 5k .... which is ironic as I never had one before yet many people complain of them there!
I'm guessing that'll probably be sorted with a bit of PCIII fettling.
Early days as I've not really been for much of a blast on it yet - but so far, I like it.

Bits of that exhaust look like something out of H R Giger (but in a good way, he said hurriedly)... What's the wavy bit on the bit that connects to the can?

You have a commendably clean underside, Mr. Knott.

I'm not following which bit you're referring to :smt017
Give me some more clues and I'll try to respond.

BTW I should point out that GregD organised the modification of the mid-section .... thanks Greg
