Try Wemoto, they have an amazing stock and offer a lot of sprockets with plus or minus teeth numbers from standard !
Ive alwas had good rapid service from them, easy to use site

Are you sure?

I have no qualms about dropping to a 15t but a 14 may be a step too far in terms of dropping the chain run towards the swingarm. I'd advise going up a few teeth at the rear.

Fairly sure the old rule is 1 tooth at the front equates to 3 teeth at the rear?

I wouldn't like to go lower then 15 on the front. That's what I've got and the chain guide gets a rough time of it. I'm with D, if you really want to go lower then what a 15 gives you I would crank up the rear sproket

I have recently just purchased a set if brembo wheels of a lad who used his gen 1 mille for track days...
His set up was 14/42.
Fair enough the bike was on the limiter at 155 mph but who needs to do 155 anyway.
I am setting up the spare wheels i have with racing tyres and a 42 rear.
15/42 might be ok but i was thinking of experimenting with a 14 front.

The chain must clear the swinger andy with this arrangement, but maybe not with a 41 rear :smt002

The size of the rear sprocket will have minimal effect at the part of the chain run close to the swinger. I didn't say it wouldn't clear the swinger with a 14 but the gap will be reduced by another 2.5 mm (5mm over stock) so with a bit of chain flappage it might be an issue.

I'd not go there myself - adding at the rear would be the best way forward

I'd side with all the nay-sayers on this, Blinkey. I'm uneasy with the idea of a 15t front, although most folks are fine with it. Even with a 15t front you're reducing the amount of clearance Aprilia designed in, and if you're (for instance) extending rear ride height, as people often do for race/track bikes, then chain clearance on the top of the swingarm will be even more compromised with a 14t sprocket.

It's not as if there isn't a wide range of rear sprockets made for Falco/Mille - the choice goes up to 47t at least. Pair a 47t with a 15t front (if you must) and you'll have a top speed of just 132 mph and the front wheel off the deck all over the sodding place... :smt003

For road use with my OZ wheels I'm sticking with 16t front and going with a 44t rear. Gearing Commander (http://www.gearingcommander.com/) reckons this will give me a top speed of 153 mph with a 190/55 rear tyre, which sounds about perfect. But I will need a 108 link chain (which I've already bought) instead of the standard 106.
