Ha-Ha!! No i actually have a nice pair of Daytona Gortex ones...in BLACK for the use of commuting so i can keep the white ones for annoying the purists! :smt003

Surely the white ones should be for this time of year? .... they are very much "dancing on ice" wardrobe refugees (obviously without the big knives fitted to the bottom of them)

The way I see it you followed the advice my parachute instructor gave when asked about when to use the reserve canopy.
You're the one on the end of that bit of string so it's up to you. If you feel you need it use it I'd rather you did that than made a mess on my landing area

In other words you had experienced people and your own concerns about riding back you were satisfied with the choice and got to meet some nice folk too bonus all round really

Personally though I'm with mart except I think as you get more experience you are realising how wrong those boots are hence the back up black ones :smt003
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock
