In order to do that i'd need to go about exposing wires. If i start cutting into the grips wiring to expose wires and it turns out the heating element is faulty, i'm not going to be able to return it or get any support from the store i bought it from.

I'm not familiar with the layout of the wiring on your grips, so my comments were of a general nature. I'm not suggesting you should start cutting wires or do anything to invalidate the warranty.
Looks like you've gone as far as you can with non-destructive testing.

Yeah, cheers for the help anyway.
Called the shop and they said that I can replace my right grip. New grip should arrive next week. I'll pop over to Pete's for supervision.
So i'll have a warm left hand on my trip on Saturday, and a block of ice on the right.

Andy told me that if you have a wank after your ride it will feel as if someone else is doing it
No idea why he shared that with me, but that was on his premium rate number
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Quite why you would want anyone grabbing your tackle with a hand like a block of ice is quite beyond me
Takes all-sorts I guess...
