Must admit, I'm getting tempted by a friend's R1100S. Haven't ridden it yet, bit it feels quite comfy sitting on it. And he's not expecting a lot for it. Still got a soft spot for older Boxers
It flies sideways through time

The only BMW bike i have ever ridden was a GS1200, it is the heaviest bike i have ever had a go on. :smt104 I really would not like to have to pick it up after dropping it :smt100

I'm not sure that dropping it is compulsory :smt019

Te only bm I had experience of was an r80 which we were told to kick the floats on if it ever refused to start and which it took long arguments with them to resolve the poor paint on
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

BM managed to shave a lot of weight off the R1200S and as a result it is about the same as a Falco. It did feel quite light on the move and when I pushed it back into a parking spot.

P.S. If I do go for it, will I need to change my user name to TraitorJock or will I just get drummed out of the forum?

I know you guys are not like that.

Are you?

BucksBeemer might be a more accurate description if you do go down that route

Usedtohaveafalcojock?
How wide are they? Bloke at work has a 1200gs and he's going to buy another bike to commute on because it won't go through gaps. I tried telling him it'll make it's own gaps if he tries hard enough.
