For your amusement!

#1 Post by Salty » Fri Oct 21, 2011 7:22 pm

A couple of weeks ago I rode over to the Ponderosa (that's a caff at the top of the Horseshoe Pass near Llangollen for those wot don't know it). I found a space and put the side stand down, but the tarmac dipped to the left and the Falco felt rather unstable so I paddled a few yards away, put the stand down again and dismounted.
Bollocks!! The stand wasn't locked down properly and bike and I did a slow dive to the deck. I have been paranoid about this side stand and can't believe I didn't check it properly. Anyway all hands rushed to help and only damage was clutch lever and left front indicator lens.
Clutch lever is replaced - anyone got an indicator or a pair to sell?
The real pisser was that a modified RSV stand was hanging up in my garage whilst the paint dried!

PS b-chiller I'm an ex-pat scouser. I've only lived near Wigan for 40 years.

If he doesn't, I will have one

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock
