As others have said, try it a few more times it does take a bit of getting used to.
In the end, if you really do struggle, you can always drop the forks through the yokes a bit and fit the clip-ons over the top as many on here have done.
Otherwise, for now, just get to know it more and you will really start to enjoy it!

Technical point ..... [Pedant Mode]you'll have to drop the yokes down the forks to fit the clipons above (though I don't think you have to go far). Dropping the forks through the yokes would give nothing to clamp to.

I'm a fat bastard with dubious joints and it took me a couple of decent rides to get sort of plugged in. Then it took a couple of thousand miles and some rearsets to get really comfy. Now I can clamber over it like a gibbon with out any ill effect afterwards. Stick with it, it's worth it.

My mate had a similar experience when he bought a Daytona. Pain to comfy in a few Sundays.
Where ever I lay my hat.....

Iz youuu sayin' that we'ze speshul or somfing?
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.
