Trolley boy saw some kids near my bike. Next time he passed they were gone, bike was on it's side. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Alarm was purchased and awaiting install. Typical.

Anyway, damage was pretty light. Brand new indicator a bit scratched which can be repaired. Previous scratches a bit bigger now but that was on the cards for repair anyway. Brake leaver snapped at the weak point. I'm bloody furious.

So, anyone have a brake leaver kicking about, or recommend cheep shorty levers? I'm not touching those chinese POS on fleabay after reading about them.

Opinions on this? I ask because it puts the manufacturer as Aprilia then calls it replica...

Any CCTV at the store? If so report it to the police - if it was pushed it over it's presumably criminal damage ..... perhaps their parents have the wherewithal to pay for the repairs (that is the parents of the scrotes - not the parents of the police)

I would deffo see if the CCTV footage shows who the scroates were. As it is a criminal act, can you claim of the owners of the car park? Or, as usual same scroates who do all the damage in a certain area (like round my neck of the woods, police know who most of them are!) go get 'em man

Dance on their 50 inch plasma TV that they all seem too have.....

I snapped my brake lever on my honda, the dealers wanted nearly 50 quid for one . I bought one from a motorcycle breaker for a tenner.
the breakers was ken urwin at thorne near doncaster 01405740248, maybe mille item fits or tuono?

Well, after replacing it with a second hand one, I'm not so concerned about the "chinese "pazzo leavers will kill you because they are machined badly and are always slightly on"

Having replaced and looked carefully at the leavers, I notice that when resting there is about 1mm gap between the master cylinder push rod and the leaver meaning there is no chance of compression unless the leaver is squeezed. If you bought some which didn't give this, you would just file it down till it did, no? You'd have to be a bit of a nugget to just slap something on to your braking system without taking special care to not how it compares mechanicaly to the origonal.

Am I making sense there, or am I missing something?

Sorry to hear youyr news Carlos. Back to yourv original question - I snapped a brake lever recently - entirely my fault tho'! Replaced it with the same one you quote in your first post as a temporary measure - it seems absolutely fine (can't really tell difference from the old one to be honest, but then again my eyes aren's what they used to be!!) In short, they seem pretty good quality and even better value - arrived quickly etc.

One thing to watch out for is the tiny pin that operates the brake light. It popped out when I changed levers - didn't realise until MOT guy pointed put my brake light was permanently on later the same day (still passed it, bless him!!) - miracle when I got back to my garage and re - tracing steps, found the pin, worked out where it went and, hey presto, working brake light!
