whats the story with the V60

#1 Post by flatlander » Fri Jul 01, 2011 6:06 am

why do some bikes have it at least the logo and others like mine not?
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

errrr ..... because Aprilia decided to use different graphics on different years - sometimes giving greater prominence to the fact that it has a 60degree V-Twin lump.

I see what you mean now they needed to slow the black one's down so cunningly used the logo to add slower colours

They'd already made it slower than the later bikes by making it less black with that HUGE expanse of shiny magnesium/aluminium frame.

The big shiny frame is an attempt to retard the snorkels in the faster colours

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

That big shiny aluminium frame is the most beautiful frame on any bike shown off at its very best on a black Falco with a V60 sticker on the back, (just to remind people that its also got the best bloody engine).
OK so I could be a tiny bit biased, but near enouigh.
