Brake Lines
I'm going to replace my brake lines on the Falco soon. I do most basic servicing (including brakes) and simple repairs myself and am reasonably competent, but have not changed brake lines before.
Although it looks straight forward, are there any gotchas, tips, recommendations I should be aware of before I start?
Cheers.

get braided
replace the line with the race type - ie 2 lines, one to each caliper
the only potential flaw is the cover for the bottom of the head stock - that will sit slightly proud due to having two lines ...
oh, you may want to consider having a set of lines that are an inch or so longer - it helps with routing :)
(HEL with the forum discount works out at best value i think you will find)
for bleeding etc, look in the aprilia tech section for kzmille's guide - i prefer to reverse bleed and that makes it easy
make sure you get the right fluid - dot 4 or dot 5.1 NOT dot 5
perhaps also consider getting some of the chinese pazzo copy levers at the same time .....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Easy job, brake lines. Can do it all with a small claw hammer and some gaffer tape.

Thanks guys. One question re. "replace the line with the race type - ie 2 lines, one to each caliper"
Why? Is it bling or do they serve a useful purpose? I'm happy with brakes as-is, but the lines are very (very) old and I'm beginning to think they're well over-due (in fact I know they are).
I've bought myself a small claw hammer and reel of gaffer
, so all set to go.
