bike time now

#1 Post by paddyz1 » Tue Jun 14, 2011 9:05 pm

After finishing a project VW golf I finally got my bike out of the garage tonight, a sorry state it looked as well. Gave it a hose done to get rid of the dust and webs and then a wash. Tomorrow (Wed) it will be getting a new subframe as the original is bent from when i binned it a Cadwell a few years back. The Shock will be going back on and the new chain & sprockets will be going on too. Still got a few jobs to finish from the spray job. I plan on spraying the tail section again as i am far from happy with it (note: when spraying anything, DO NOT change the spray gun half way through the job. Same spray gun from start to finish) Still gonna be a while unless some funds pop up out of nowhere for a set of tyre's, It is insured but no T&T. When is the club aprilia meet? That might give me some incentive to get a wiggle on and get there for that weekend.

Minor jobs to do but hope to be there.

I'll keep you posted

Edit: Just found out it is this coming weekend......Not a chance of me getting it sorted by then....ah well.....whats the next meet up?

Do you already have a subframe Paddy? If not, I do have one squirrelled away.

Club Aprilia Meet ..... just 3 days away ..... you'd better get one hell of a wriggle on to be ready !

Yes thanks I have got a nice black one ready to go on but thanks. Defo will not be able to get there this weekend which is a bummer. Will try to get to at least one meet this year...

Not sure many are going from here this year - there's not been much discussion about it.
I won't be camping this year - if I get there it will be a day-trip on Saturday (assuming my kit has dried out from last weekend)

Aim for the Ridersite Norfolk weekend in September - it would be greatd if we can get a bumper turnout this year.

or mallory for the 1000 bike festival in july

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
