hello all long time no post !! (my last post was the pigeon that killed me me new mirror) i other thing that i was testing was DR ROSSY chip done about 1000 mls with it ,very pleased with it smooth even handed no torque dip . in the bike was a PA59 made the engine very harsh.
so its a bit warmer so time to look at work req i have a 150amp solenoid (from griff) so best fit it ! the clutch fluid has run off so any thoughts on best after market replacement cylinder ? i need to get the lower half re painted (last owner put stickers on and lacquered over em) 2003 red and black but its not black anyone now what its called and where to get some paint

If it's the same as my 04, I believe the colours are Flaming Red and Anthracite. I have no idea how they came up with these names or what matches them.
I tried a couple of dark greys from Halfords foe my bellypan but ended up settling for satin black.

Unless you want to splash out on a new slave cylinder, just replace the seal. If you look in the technical section there are details of a suitable seal we have sourced that costs between 2 and 3 quid.

The real choices of aftermarket slave are the Evo (probably the best - seem to remember it's got something like 3 X-ring seals). These aren't cheap but Ken Zeller will sometimes do a good deal.
The MPL is probably the most commonly fitted on here - I have one myself. They are good but there have been a few reports of seal failure. Sometimes MPL insist on them being sent back to Germany for a new seal to be fitted but others have persuaded MPL to send them the seals and done it themselves.
The final one is the Oberon - no real experience of these. Griff stocks them. I think these might fit behind the Falco's sprocket cover whereas the other two require a Tuono sprocket cover (same as mille but inexplicably cheaper) .... or a hole saw taken to the Falco sprocket cover.

Paint .... will Aprilia calls that red, Flamingo Red. There is a supplier of ralltle cans on ebay that might help otherwise you'll be visiting a paint shop and asking them to do a match.

thanks for the replies according to this lot www.rsbikepaint.com its flamingo red and black/grey pearl i will find out soon !! re the clutch slave, will prob go with one from griff i nave just made a cock up at work and over-ordered some -3 black covered hard line odd lengths left over may fit from master cyl and slave on a bike. i got as far as fitting me new solenoid the machine started garage door was open so ........... off i went runs well but I'm not over impressed with the brakes poss they may benefit from new lines i normally use EBC HH will have to see a bit short on ££ at the mo as i failed to sell the 3 cyl machine

Went down this route with Griff last May, first one he fitted lasted to the Chippy on the A5, so he had to come a collect me and fit another one , was a rare failiure the second has been fine and yes fits under the Falco sprocket cover...make sure you have some change for chips...just incase

Also have a look at Cobra brake lines. I dealt with them when they were in Yorkshire, good stuff made to my spec (line colour, banjo colour and slightly longer) at a reasonable price.
