I couldn’t resist…….

#1 Post by Olig7475 » Tue Feb 08, 2011 4:14 pm

It’s been a beautiful sunny day here today and I just couldn’t resist taking her out for a spin, I don’t normally raise her from her winter hibernation until April time, but I thought what the hell.

She sleeps out side all year round and not been run since October (kept on a battery minder) so I apprehensively thumbed the starter….she roared in to life on the first crank and quickly settled in to a nice purrrrrr.

Had a great run out to Matlock Bath, she ran soooooo well, put a big smile on my face I can tell you. I’d best make the most of it as I’m on notice for potential redundancy, so worst case she might even have to go! :smt010

I’ve posted a couple of pics (not put anything up for a while) as she now sports my lasted piece of bling……FlyingKiwi’s old carbon mudguard.

i am so envious!

gorgeous day here - but i have had awful flu so.....

i behaved and stayed in the warm....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Lucky boy. Been a brilliant, albeit chilly day here in Coventry.. Stuck at work though, which is fun, but not so much as being out n' about on the bike :smt001

Hi Oli - glad you had a nice blast today.

Hope things work out on the job front and don't rush in to selling if the worst happens. The funds tied up in the Falco won't tide you over for long and at the end of that you'll be in the same boat but with no Falco.
That said, sometimes needs must - but don't rush in to it .... and hopefully it'll work out OK anyway.

Hi Oli, hope all goes well on the job M8.
I too managed to get a run out a couple of weeks back, but it was bloody cold on the fingers.
This was the first time out since before xmas, and it left me in a really good mood for a few days. (at least until i got back to work on the Thursday)

Hope we can arrange the Newark meet when i'm not at work.
If so see you there.

Far too much road crud still out there at the moment despite the rain washing most of it nicely away this week. And then there's the humungous bloody craters in the roads to contend with. Reckon I'll leave it a week or two yet even tho I'm itching to get back out again.
