There are ways and means of taking anodised stuff off without damaging the finish. I could show you how, but i'd have to kill ye..lol..

Well.. Not much in the way of progress t'nite.. I think working on the bike while ale and JD is flowing is a good idea, but maybe not such a good one for getting stuff done.. Nearly 3 hours to do this little job!

Callipers can wait until another time.. Really couldn't be bothered after the second round of pizzas..

So from careful observation of the position of the valve and the tread pattern, was that 3hrs to turn it through a quarter of a revolution and spin it on its axis then?

Ye can't really tell from the pics, but the front wheel was covered in that horrible black brake dust stuff.. Like shit to a blanket.. Took ages to get it all off. Also took the disks off to make cleaning the wheel easier and gave them a clean up. Also cleaned up the bobbins, as they too were caked in crap.
