Hypothetical Question

#1 Post by FalcoJock » Sat Sep 11, 2010 11:00 am

Red 2000 Falco, 28,000 miles, standard except for hugger, Scotoiler and alarm. Good condition for age - never dropped, so no scuffs, but a few minor stone chips. Still looks great after a wash (which is more than I do).

Did do most servicing myself (oil / filter chages, brakes etc). But for serious stuff like valve clearances, it went to a good Italian bike specialist, who I also got to check it over at the same time to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

Roughly what should I look to ask / get privately?

Although we know better, that sort of mileage would put people off.

I reckon you'd do well to get £1800.

1800 sounds OK to me, so 1500 should be achievable? I'd settle for that...

I'm looking at a possible change.

Motorcyclists are strange people.

I was just looking at a CX 500 which made £1500 on Ebay - not even immaculate. They were sh*te when new!

To think you could have a very good Falco for the same price almost beggars belief!

If I had a bigger garage I'd buy it off you myself.
