you know they get pissy if you use any other term than rust brown.....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

At the risk of being VERY unpopular ....I know the yellow ones get a pasting on here, but I think I'd rather have yellow than that bronze thingy. My Triumph is yellow and I love it. The bronze just doesn't do it for me. ... I'll get my coat.

As a long standing member of this site, I am taking a great risk making this statement, but ............

When the original SV650 came out, they did an original advertising campaign all using the yellow version, and I throught it looked good.
If I had found an all yellow Falco, particularly all yellow with mid fairings, belly pan and hugger all colour keyed I would certainly have bought one.
(come back Yellowduck, all is forgiven)
Hope the rest don't now read this or I will be ridiculed for ever!

On reflection I'll stick to the DarkSide!

P.S.
Before I got the Kwack in December, I had also been looking at late 955i Daytonas and my first choice colour would have been yellow.
Two admissions on one day! :smt009

Oh dear, Howard. I think we might be in big trouble now. Black is probably the only colour I'd swap my Flamingo Red/Anthracite for. However, so far we've only coverd the aesthetic properties of the colours with no mention of their effect on speed. Another can of worms just opened?

I also have a soft spot for the Blue ones; don't see very many of them.

When I was looking for my Falco I wanted the Flamingo Red/Anthracite model, but all I could find were bronze/sludge/rust ones. I was trying to convince myself I liked them, but never quite managed it. And then 'my' bike popped up (in the right colours) and we all lived happily ever after...

My first one (2002) was Blue. Sold it in 2004 and missed it ever since. So I bought a Black one to replace it this year after trying alsorts of other stuff in the forlorn hope that there was a bike as good as a Falco out there somewhere. I was wrong of course and have now seen the light. :smt003
I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?

This may surprise some people but I'm quite a fan of the colour yellow on a Falco.

In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.
