If you are doing this make sure you have the sprag on the right way round when you refit it. It could be an easy mistake to make.
The upshot was that I had a short in the starter motor. The wee plastic insulator had broken inside causing increased resistance and heating up all the wires.
Anyway after a good bit of coaching yesterday she finally fired and is now back to her window shattering best.
And I am one happy Falco owner again.
