Not been around for a while guys sorry. Hope you're all doing good.
I'm still gainfully unemployed and my computer is still dung but hey it could be worse. My falco could have chewed up a starter motor.....oh hold on it did.
Oh well, managed to get one on the bay of flea for 35 bangers, I just hope it fits.

Nice to hear from you again.
I suppose that if our bikes are going to have problems, it's better they do it while the weather is particularly crap!
Hope you fix it soon

Sorry the job situation hasn't got any better Andy, but nice to hear from you again. Are you still managing to get out in the Falco?
Before you blew the starter that is!

Hi chaps
Good few miles on the falco last year. She's sitting with approx 41k miles on her and still going strong.

Nice to know it's gettin out!
You as well mate.
Mine's done a tad under 30K
Must be down to
black being the fastest colour that they rack the miles up so quickly, (although Ken would argue, as has has a similar figure to yours on his red version).

..... and just how old are the black ones then Howard? .... methinks less than 30k miles in all those years may not be the most emphatic endorsement of the speed of that particular colour-scheme ....

It doesn't get used for commuting, doesn't really do any touring (sad I know), only used for fun on weekends and summer evenings by one geriatric owner.
Simple facts are, it's done 24k miles in almost exactly 5 1/2 years at an average of 4,360 per vear.
It's still the fastest colour and the best bike I'll ever own! (But the 9R is much better than I expected.)
Don't forget that I've always had, (and regularly used), a second bike the whole time I've had it.

Yes I know Howard - I wasn't having a go .... just seemed that the premise was not so well supported on the particular evidence you chose to submit.
.... and of course a Falco is the best bike you'll ever own ... and once you finish the paint job and add the bronze where it's meant to be applied, it will be truly excellent.

why would he want a slow rust colour?
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

We all have our favourites, it's just that the Black Crow against the twin spar alloy frame work so well together in my eyes, (The early red versions go close as well). The dark frame versions don't show the frame off so much, and are more subtle I suppose, but still look good.
I just think it's probably the best looking frame on a bike, and it's nice to show it off.
Then again what would a bloke who had a purple, dark pink and black CBR for more than 7 years know about nice colour schemes.

It's all just a pleasant good natured wind up really, as it always was.
Anyway we both already know
black is best, so not really worth arguing with the with the colour disadvantaged !!
