making chages to PCIII

#1 Post by ReggieGasket » Sun Nov 15, 2009 7:04 am

My 2000 Falco has a PCIII and Scorpion race cans. Apparently it is set to "fast road". Is it possible for me to change the map myself? I'd like to try the "road" setting, to see if it gives more low down power - anyone have any experience with this? Also, if I change the cans, would I have to make changes to the PCIII or would it update automatically? The bike is running really well, so I don't want to cock it up. Question questions

You need to find out how things work. Search and read.

In short. ECU (the chip in it, to be exact) has two maps. The 'open' map is activated by cutting the wire (do the search). The PC3 alters the signal sent by the ECU, using the map that was downloaded to it.

Now, start from here. What chip map are you running? What map is in your PC3? Is there a need for changing anything? Or is it an itch you have to scratch?

Hi all,

You need to go to the Dynojet website and download the new maps from there , then upload it from your pc/laptop to the PC III :smt020

Just pick which one you want, or go to a dyno guy and get him to do an bespoke map fella...
My warranty is the clear/smoked tail lights around the corner!!
