Agreed. As its only the bracket its a quick and easy job to replace - just read D-Rider's post first about removing the sidestand while under the bike at the time :smt003

Yeah, I feel a bit better, think I will get another stand off ebay at the same time and whack that on.
Was a bit of a pain laying on the floor trying to hold the camera steady.
Still waiting for the Old Bill to get in touch and give me her insurance details. I haven't told my insurance yet as there isn't much to tell and I don't want to claim from mine, but would anyone say I should speak to them yet and say what happened?

Why don't you change it to something more decent from GSXRCBR1? Looks like a stocker to me.

actually, in your position, i would buy one of the ebay remade ones from ? bubsywoo? - and keep the receipts etc just in case

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Think i will just bung a Honda one on there, saw a post on AF1 showing that the 04-07 Blade ones fit straight on and I can find one cheaper. I'm just a bit p'd off thinking I have to spend my own cash now and wait for insurance to pay up.
The Police called me yesterday and said they were POSTING a letter to the registered keeper and that they then have 28 DAYS to respond. I know it's not a priority crime but bloody hell, I can't wait this long to have mine sorted and I don't want to run the risk of shelling out and not being re-imbursed for anything I spend.

Police sent me the details of the 3rd party last week, so I passed it on.

Went to Bowen Moto in Chatham for a quick estimate, which was FOC - nice touch, thank you - and it came out at £353 odd, for basically the mudguard and stand leg. I didn't realise until later that I had forgotten to get him to include the bracket, but I'll just see what happens and probably get this Blade one sorted at some point.

Never had to claim before, so I wonder how long I can drag this thread on for until I get sorted out...? :smt015

It took two year in my case. You may be more lucky.
