.... does that mean shock adjustment? How would one go about getting more ride height?
Yes , sorry I didn't make myself clearer. It all depends on the shock you're running; if it's the standard blue-spring Sachs, it doesn't have ride height adjustment, so that's not an option.

If it's an Ohlins, chances are it will have ride-height adjustment. In which case, I'd whack the ride height up to the maximum, enjoy sharper steering and enjoy a much more secure-looking angle of lean on the sidestand.

Apologies if I've just caused you potentially more expenditure, but that is what we're here for... :smt003

After meeting up with Kiwi earlier today and parking alongside and looking at our bikes, a happy medium would be about right. I think with a cenitmetre lopped off the CBR stand and the foot re-attaching, it would be spot-on.
If Kiwi posts a pic, it will highlight the effect a dumb woman reversing into your bike can have!

Well after reading these threads I got straight onto the Blade shop and bought a Fireblade 06 stand which arrived today. (the same as jayboy's)

10mins later it's fitted and Voila!! absolutely perfect fit and the angle of dangle is perfect also. (I have the Ohlins shock on max ride height)

Another huge bonus (I found out after I'd done a bit of grinding to round the top of the stand off) is that the stand didn't need any modification at all to fit the Tuono (So that should go for the RSVR 04 onwards as well)

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the thread £25 well spent and problem solved

...here are our bikes together (2nd forum Falco I'd met in less than a week - such the social butterfly me :smt016 ) Jay should probably tag them ... he was understandably 'shy' about parking it.

Mine's the stealthy black one leaning over! - lean angle modified by the fat lady in a Laguna, thanks love!

Photo doesn't show the difference as much as it did in the flesh.

K1w1 - mine is now loud and offensive like yours - thanks to some cheap bargain cans - thanks to FALCONICITY for tipping me off :smt002
I see the trip went OK as per other thread, are you gonna have the 'Blade stand altered or have you learnt to trust it as it is?

...good to hear you've sorted cans - am sure your neighbours will be thanking you every morning :smt003 My regular spanner monkeys don't weld, but another local outfit said that chopping down the stand and (they recommend) reshaping the foot will be cheap and easy. Have to desperately sort out the front subframe first - which is just time and money bugrit :smt013
