Update and questions.

#1 Post by Falcoholic » Thu Mar 12, 2009 9:39 am

After being out of work since Xmas eve I finally managed to secure a position with South Lanarkshire Council and I start this coming Monday so I've had loads of time to decorate the house and fettle the bike. Well after finally fitting the yellow spring shock and sidestand that I've had kicking around in the garage for a while and fully prepped the bird for the onset of good weather I have a couple of questions for he Falco massive.
a) Where's the best place to buy an oil pressure switch?

and

b) What's the basic settings for the yeller spring shock? I need a starting point.

Cheers in anticipation.

Dunno the answers to your questions but Congratulations on the new Job

Oh hang on - I remember seeing something about the Mille sachs settings - I'm fairly sure it was in the Mille workshop manual. Fortunately that one's on Martin's site too:

Wondered why we had not heard much from you for a couple of months Andy. Not the best time to lose your job on Christmas Eve! :smt009
Hope the new job works out well for you.
Council jobs ain't easy these days, whatever people say, less staff to do the work, lots of pressure, but I'm sure you'll cope well.

As far as the rear shock goes, most of the stuff so far seems to be about the White spring, and I'm sure the Yellow spring settings are different.
Sure I had both lots of settings when I fitted my White spring, but can't seem to find the Yellow spring info. now.
Was sure I'd find it on the old site, but spent an hour or so looking through that as well and again, only found the White spring settings.
Will keep looking as I am sure I have it somewhere.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Long time no hear Andy, congrats on the job, does that mean no more commuting through Gods country? As for the shock setting, I'm no expert, but I suspect you should aim for maximum lard tolerance :smt003

Cheers for the congrats and info chaps. Yeah I'm a happy bunny. It's been a drag to be honest. A few weeks is ok but 3 friggin months is a bit much.

I'm sure the shock will take a bit of setting up, especially with my sleight frame. :smt002

Yeah I should be up for a few meets now. Just gotta get tyres and MOT sorted.

And Exup............take that :smt098
