Spotted this on ebay ....
ebay wrote:You are bidding to buy a used Aprilia SL 1000 Falco engine like the RSV mille engine
I bought this engine to fit in my home made off road buggy project but due to lack of time and just selling the buggy. i have no need for the engine.
Either to be used as a replacement engine for a bike or
Ideal to fit to a small buggy, go kart or any other project needing a very powerful engine
The engine is in a1 condition. and everything in the pictures is included oil tank and radiator
Am I the only one that it never occurred to that the Falco engine should find its true home bolted to the back of a go kart
..... I'm just scared to think about it ....

apparently they make excellent engines for kit cars as well
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Yup, I've seen it...........I saw it at an event up at Bretton and it's a fantastic piece of kit, sounds superb and was very very quick.

It's probably the same one I saw a couple of years ago at a motorsports show. It had a sign on it to say it was powered by 2 x 170 bhp mille engines! I was, quite naturally, very intrigued to know how he got that much power from the 990 so I asked him. He said it was 'chipped' and when I said, so's mine but it's a long way short of 170bhp, he muttered about 'Having a mate who sort of put a chip on chip in it..' and then walked off. Was going to mention that if he dumped the original air boxes he had on it he'd get a healthy bhp increase but then thought 'sod him'.
Very nicely engineered car though and I imagine it was still mighty quick

Probably still had the bungs in the airbox and bodged up exhausts to fit in the tracker and the motors together wheeze out a combined 170 BHP
I hope he and his mate enjoyed their bag of chips.
