I've been to that castle, it's where they filmed Highlander. If you come out of the carpark and turn left, go down the road and take the A890 right, that's quite and exciting road, it ends up running along side the railway around Lochcarron to the A896. Following that to Shieldaig is an awesome bit of road as well, or if you're a bit of a loony you can take the Pass of Cattle off to the left over to Applecross. Not recomended if you get vertigo or can't do 3 in 1 hairpins.

I recognise that last picture, but can't put a name to it, I took a few photos there as well.

Yes we took them roads took the pass to Applecross then the coast road back to the camp site at ullapool. It scared the life out of me,laughed about it after mind
There could have been a brick wall in the middle of the road and I would have drove straight into it and that was around 2pm where the weather was lovely

After seeing my bike in the photos (yup, it's the silver one) i thought I'd best register on the forum and let you know where we were. Started from Perth and did the run up to Braemar - its got to be one of the best roads on the planet. From there over the Lecht to Grantown, then past Inverness to Ullapool. The next day was a lap round to Gairloch, Applecross, Kinlocheww, Garve and back to Ullapool. Did the lap same lap the following day to see if could find a certain other Falco riders wallet. Yes guys, don't put your wallet in an outside pocket of a fleece - the zip might work loose, the wallet fall out sending cards and cash all over rge road. Luckily somebody found some of the cards and cash. Unluckily he had already cancelled all the cards...... Sunday came south to Eilan Donan castle then Fort William, Glencoe and down to Stirling.
I've done variations of that trip many times and I think we have a new convert to the great roads, scenery (and weather) of the Scottish Highlands. From what I've heard them roads dahn saff seem to lack corners.....

Restless Natives, great film. Must get it to show the locals over here, might need subtitles for them though.

Well, I'd rather see a load of Falcos up here than the infestation of BMW GSs we appear to have had this year.

Yeah - and I'll bet you can't move on the road of bones these days due to the number of us taking our bikes there.
