Different subject here Nooj, I never said don't change em.
I kept the fairings on and added a belly pan and hugger, cans and dark DB screen with mine. If I had the option of two Falcos, the second one would have the falco Fighter kit, with the original alloy fairing and other panels plus higher bars.
(Actually might still consider this if I eventually get around to selling my old CBR Thou).
Sabs Falco looks great.
I still think a Falco modded this way looks better than the early Tuono, although the later model Tuonos have grown on me.

I'm with D-R too! Swinger - looks, exhaust - cost + weight (Mille tank - half the weight, exhaust - half the weight...).

I said that before, the Mille swinger turned my bike from bearable to gorgeous. It's one piece that makes all the rest of the bike look perfect.

my reason for the mille, well actually in my case tuono, two into one pipe is about the individuality of the bike - initially I will be running the pipe I have.... modified in an interesting manner - but this winter I want to change that for a stubby, home made triangular, yoshi based pipe - that will be very short.
This is for looks though - no pipe on either side will make the swing arm, which I do think is a better swing arm than the standard one, a focal point..

Reason for doing work like this is, well, because I can, and because I can get out into the shed and fettle to my hearts content. Interestingly enough, I have done more on the falco than all of my other bikes put together.... and I think that the bike is the reason why so many of us fettle as we do.... and why so many of our falcos are so individual :)

and bugger, still annoyed about the dearth of oil tanks :( (I did have one btw - but when it arrived, it was buggered - the friend who said it was ok hung his head in shame.... and hence the mad root around to get this sorted - I want to ride!)

Although on the oil tank situation, there was a guy on the forum a good few years ago who had cut down the original oil tank. I wan't keen on the finished article (although he'd done a very good job of it) but the reduced oil capacity would be a worry long term I reckon. If they were OK with a lesser amount of oil, Aprilia would have designed it that way I reckon

Why worry, I just picked up a spare 2002 engine from ebay for £170 Salvage places have them from £500-up but private they go for pennys.
Watching a '06 factory on a salvage site aswell, only up to £1025
