actually, just get to meet some of us old grunters, and see what we have done to our bikes - may give you ideas?
Also, and may seem strange coming from an inveterate fettler, just ride it for a few weeks and get a feel for how to make it yours - that make sense?
I know when I started I had a mental image of how I wanted it to end up - and, in the main I am happy with what i have done so far - but I do have a few things to think on over the winter rebuild season....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Welcome Tommy
Nice to have you onboard.
After the side stand, I would fit a rear hugger, to keep the crap off whatever new rear shock you end up fitting!
After that, this lot on here will help you spend as much as you want.
Cans are a problem if you want quiet!
Falcos ain't quiet on any sort of non standard cans, (part of why we love 'em), and if you fit a Rene induction kit you'll need some pretty open cans to go with it, (plus a Rene chip).
It's all down to personal choice but I did mine fairly cheap.
K&N kit for the induction.
Beowulf (road legal) titanium cans, this saves about 1/2 ton in weight compared with the original cans, but quiet they ain't.
Mate has an R6 with a full Aka system and he he moans like hell because can't hear his bike, when out with me.
Goes better, makes it sound like a V/Twin should and OK with standard ECU setup, (I assume your bike's had the ECU wire snip).
I have not tried em with the baffles out.
as I have neighbours as well.

Welcome aboard Tommy. Nice to see another youngster - I was feeling lonely
North Essex eh? Do you ever get to Bentley on weds evenings? I sometimes treat them all to a glimpse of my Falco.
As for modding - suggest you develop a real lusting after a clear/smoked tail lamp and then give those of us who have one already a good reason to feel smug as you try to track one down

How much was the side stand Tommy and did it fit easily, the switch and all?tommy wrote:Side stand was first thing i did, bought US spec one from AF1 racing. Works a treat, vast improvment. Next will be the shock, and then stick baffles back in cans, neighbours aren't quite giving me cheery waves at 7am as I leave for work![]()
But if anyone has any ideas on how i should start fiddling, feel free to point me in right direction
And hello, welcome to Falcoland

Yeah Fausto, im up bently most wednesdays, I live other side of colchester. If you see me, come say hi, you cant miss me, bight green leathers on a falco ya see (You'd never guess what my last bike was, haha)
And Alkydale, side stand worked out around £100 including postage, import tax etc etc. Took half a rolly to fit. Only thing i had to do was cut a small chunk off the new bracket with a hack saw (It has 3 holes instead of 2 ya see). Woth every penny in my eyes.
Baffles now in cans, really doesn't make that much difference except on tick over, perfect in my eyes. Just need to drop it in to get powercommander remaped, and job done.... Happy neighbours!
I've also played around with headlights, now i can turn them off, and dip is on same time as main bulbs. Took a lead from sidelight, and wired into the dip beam relay (via a switch) No need to play around with my switch gear
