a friend used to own a shop in chelmsford called Chelmer bearings, he got mine.
I replaced it a year ago, and no probs since.
that wear round the edge was how mine was.

Done it. Not too much of a drama, fitted a new OE seal from UltimateParts LTD (thats the number the Yorks Aprilia site gives you). Seal ended up being £14 inc p&p, not as much as first thought . It must have been slowly leaking for a long time because the clutch action now is way heavier than I remember.Hope it holds up, and thanks all here for the help again. Time to test it/MOT/tax and WSB at Monza.
