OEM Parts

#1 Post by sidestand » Fri Jan 04, 2008 7:09 pm

You've probably got this on here somewhere already, but you might not
It's a useful tool for finding OEM parts, plus you can check the price & order them as well

Again, sorry if I'm telling you what you know already

PS It might be worth Admin making it a sticky :smt004

Glad it's of use ,

Now all I've got to do is find out how to get the feckin' riders seat off to check out that sticker & if I've got a UK bike :smt017

Seat off is easy. There's a bolt either side at the back. Just squash the back of the seat up a bit and you'll find them.

Even easier if you replace the bolts with a set of these:

together with a set of these:

I'm not convinced by these things.

OK - so it's a bit fiddly to remove the bolts the first few times but you soon get the hang of it.
To have to replace them with this set up and then add more fiddle in case you lose the clips (and they could still go astray looking at the pic) and I can well imagine dropping and losing the washers too ( more wire leashes anybody?) :smt009

Actually when I first looked at the 2nd picture I assumed the wires were to pull on to remove the clips in a hurry - Doh ! :smt017
