Yeah, I know, wishful thinking
Started putting my stuff on the new Falco.
My tinted lens got damaged in the smash. the thin piece that extends to the body work got snapped off in various places. I took a dremel to it and cleaned it up but it doesn't look right without the thin bit. So I'm in the market for a tinted lens if any of you kind gentlemen have one spare or plan to sell one in the future.
As a side note, my bargain purchase appears to have had its clocks replaced early for "misting" and front discs for warping. anyone else had these problems ?

My disks warped at 10,000 miles. I had to replace them myself as the Aprilia warranty is shit.

When I got my Falco (many moons ago) at 4k miles it had warped discs, which were replaced straight away under warranty.
I'm convinced it's down to the dealer and how hard they are prepared to fight for their customer
But it is too common a problem. My new "T" has fully floating discs and so far (touch wood) there have been no reports of discs warping, we do have misting clocks though, I'm now on my second set and these are misting up as well

I imagine misting up of the clocks is down to water ingress. I haven't looked but assume there are bulb access points at the back? That's where I assume the water gets in and that's what I'd look to 'seal up better' - once the clocks have gotten good and dry first of course.
As for the discs....... what are you using them for anyway ?

If you undo the 3 10mm nuts on the back of the front subframe and disconnect the multiplug the clock unit just comes out as a whole. To change the bulbs you take the back off the unit to get access then you can remove 4 more screws and the whole workings comes out as one piece leaving the plastic shell that you can clean/dry as required.
The unit is sealed by a rubber gasket between the 2 halves so you would need to check that this is sitting properly (very easy to get a small part of it pinched putting it back together.
Not noticed any misting on mine, even in cold weather or after washing, which is more than can be said for my last bike.
