It's official, Falcos are very rare beasts

#1 Post by Nooj » Wed Sep 12, 2007 11:08 am

In the whole time I was away in Yurop, I only saw three other Falcos. One was Anzac's red one tied down onto the train we managed to miss (oops!), one was a silver one in Germany, the other was a black one in France (both going in the opposite direction with a mate on another bike).

To put it in perspective, on the way from Florence to Rimini, four (yes, FOUR) Bimota Tesis went past while we were stopped at a garage, must have been the owners' club rideout or something.

The most common big bike in Italy seemed to be the Hornet 600, followed closely by various versions of Ducati's Monster. Most frequently sighted bike over the whole trip seemed to be the Z750 though.

Yup, I concur.... just back from a trip around the Alps, Switzerland and Northern Italy (Monza was excellent!)

Z750's everywhere, didn't spot one Tuono though (or a falco to be honest) .........exclusive beasts they are!

I saw quite a few Mille's in Croatia/Slovenia. Mostly being ridden by people with no protection or helmets on.
