Rude Ebayer .... should I report?

#1 Post by D-Rider » Sat Aug 30, 2008 1:03 pm

I was recently looking for bits and pieces on Ebay and came across a set of brake callipers.

Here's the text from the listing for one of the callipers:
ebay listing wrote:One Brembo front caliper with pads, left side, from my Aprilia Falco. These are the two pad versions. They will come with the pads in them which still have plenty of life left. They are in perfect working order with only some corrosion on the bolt heads.

I've upgraded my brakes to the four pad versions so these are now surpless to requirements.

Original equipment on Aprilia Falco ('00 - '04) and RSV ('00).

Aprila part number, Caliper: AP8113893 £176.07

Aprila part number, Pads AP8113754 £38.15

Thought I'd better check out some things about them so I sent an ebay message - to enquire about some vital and important facts before buying ....
My enguiry to the seller wrote:Dear theoriginalnooj,

Are these for any Falco or only the V4 ?

Do they work with conventional reservoirs or only with funny bits of tube ?

I am tempted to get them just for the corroded bolt heads as they match some of mine ....

Cheers

Now I did receive a reply to my very reasonable questions:

I think it's rather rude .... should I report him to ebay ...... or should I get back to the seller to inform him about the bike cleaning and ACF50 protection service offered by the mate of a forum member that he may find useful in protecting the heads of calliper bolts :smt017

..... and if anyone wants these callipers, they can be found on ebay (both right and left) ..... but please check carefully for hacksaw marks ....

If you're a buyer on eBay, chances are at some point an ebay seller has been rude to you. It's not uncommon for them to be unresponsive, refuse a return, or just neglectful of their duties rush my essay. Should this happen, what should you do about it? And is it worth reporting the issue to eBay? This blog post will answer these questions and more!

I'm trying to imagine a site with less use for an essay mill spambot but I got nothing... :smt005
Remember, when you are dead, you do not know you are dead. It is only painful for others.
The same applies when you are stupid.

Bugger - I normally spot these spambastards and delete their post or ban them. Or both. But I was inexcusably lax on this occasion.

But you're right Katie; I can't imagine a site where they'd get less interest... :smt003
