PRO RACE EXHAUST GP2

#1 Post by dazyguk » Wed Dec 30, 2015 2:15 pm

Hi fellas, has anyone seen these for the falco before??

More info here http://www.pro-race.co.uk/

I have done a quick (badly photoshopped) mock up and think it looks excellent and transforms the look of the bike. I know they will be earth shatteringly loud but I'm seriously tempted for the price of £90 for a pair of these gp2 versions :smt007

Each to their own but gives the bike a half-finished look IMHO. Sorry.

I fitted an ultra stubby to my falco a few yeArs back

Sounded great - ran badly in real terms

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

exhausts...

Hi all,

No back pressure off those things! Your stead will run like a bag of spanners. I have four sets of cans for mine, and have a variety of results. Try to get at least 300mm on the can for any descent result. That is if you have a power commander fitted to adjust things accordingly :smt003
My warranty is the clear/smoked tail lights around the corner!!

Too small for the bike imo.

They will definitely cause the bike to run rough and you'll loose some power. According to griff the stubby / short exhausts cause the cylinders to run hotter than they're supposed to causing premature wear and stress on the engine internals.

Nah - looks pants and will make it run rough. It will also be nasty loud rather than nice loud.

Ruins the look of the bike IMO, also how can you call it a "can" it looks like a splayed end LOL, the welding looks terrible as well.

These things come with no baffling, no hanging brackets to speak of.
As these cans are considerably shorter than other 'race'cans you will no doubt disrupt the exhaust tuning.
Running shorter and unbaffled zorts interferes with fuel mixture and running temps, I echo what others have said on additional engine strain.
I will confess I looked at these about a year ago.
The more I looked, the more convinced I became not to buy them.

Why would you want to stick a She-wee on the end of your exhaust?
