coolant leak

#1 Post by Tonyunn » Sat Apr 04, 2015 5:57 pm

Spoke to soon, I still have a leak of coolant, it is forming a stain on the top of the clutch housing area. I am going to take off the filler pipe and the other pipes connected to it and replace the clamps.
Can,t think of anything else as I can,t see an obvious leak.
At least I have two days to sort it out.

I know I'm replying to an old post here so hopefully you've found your fault, but in case it helps you and others here I had a similar thing just recently which I traced to a small split in the coolant level tube in the reservoir. It leaked just enough to leave coolant residue on the side of the engine, but not enough to affect running temperature. Easily fixed with a replacement tube and coolant top-up.
