dogbones

#1 Post by floakey » Tue Jan 13, 2015 9:39 am

Ok not used the bike much , just fitted new chain before Xmas but noticed the dogbone with linkages I'd bought last year to go with my mille shock looks to be narrower than the original falco one . Theres no sideways movement but concerned its the wrong one fitted, anyone shed any light on it ? .

Measurements or photographs (or both) would help a lot here...

So measured the width of the dogbone on the bike which came to 36mm and the gap is really on the engine mounting point side but ok on the triangles . I'd read the thickness of the triangles differ on different models an years .

Just measured a spare OE Falco dogbone I have and that is 36mm wide, like yours. The Falco triangles are cut from 6mm thick aluminium, and I can also remember that there is a degree of end float at the lower frame mounting point, so I suspect they all do that, sir...
