All back up and running, and in one piece again. I just need a dryish day now to see how it feels. If it's all good I will take the top fairing back off and send it for painting while the forks are being revolved.
Excuse the state of the garage, it's a right mess and I've been too lazy to tidy it up recently.

The state of your garage is the only thing that's made me feel better today!
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Managed to get the bike out Saturday afternoon for a test ride. Probably not the best day as it was blowing a gale. It felt very odd, the front end was quite twitchy as I have basically taken a load of my weight off it, but I think once I get used to it it'll be ok (it's definitely a lot more comfortable on the arms and back).
I still have the stock mirrors on there, they're not totally useless, I can see half elbow and half road so they are useable (I will probably swap them out eventually though)

Strongly suggest you fit a steering damper - it helps with the twitchiness - also, drop 1 0r 2 lb from the front tyre
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I was too lazy to check the tyre pressures, just a visual check to make sure they weren't flat so that won't have helped at all. I'll definitely get a damper though, it can't hurt.
Are the red sachs ones any good or is it worth paying extra (£50 vs £150) for the ohlins unit?

I could not justify the extra
But then I found an ohlins one incorrectly listed on evilbay as being off an rs125 .....
Was bloody expensive at 25 quid !
